Anubis does not judge the dead. He escorts them, which is a different job entirely: a psychopomp, guiding each soul from the moment of death to whatever comes next.

He also worked the scale in the hall of judgement, weighing a heart against the feather of Ma'at. That makes him a figure of fairness rather than fear, which is not how most people read the imagery.

Weight and profile

At 20g this is a substantial ring, and the Egyptian styling carries it well. The head is a full sculpt seen in profile, with the long ears standing clear of the band, the muzzle polished smooth, and the ridged panels of the headdress running down either side of the face.

The recesses are darkened so the outline holds at a distance. It is a sculpted head and it wears like one, which is why it sits better with plain clothing than with anything competing for attention.
