At this size the placements open right up: behind an ear, inside a wrist, on a collarbone, at the nape of the neck, on the inside of an ankle, on a finger or the side of a hand. Almost nothing else in our range fits any of those.

Minimalism is harder than it looks

A design with very few lines has nowhere to hide. Every stroke is load-bearing, and the wolf has to be recognisable from what amounts to a handful of marks.

That is why simple work is what experienced tattoo artists tend to have on themselves. Detail impresses; restraint lasts.

Discretion as the point

This is the piece for someone who wants a tattoo and does not want a conversation about it. Small, monochrome and easily covered by a sleeve or a watch.

It is also the sensible choice if you are wearing one somewhere with a dress code, or if you simply want to find out whether you enjoy having a tattoo at all before scaling up.
