What actually fits

Dimensions are hard to picture, so in practical terms this is a full day bag rather than a small one.

A comfortable load is a laptop in a sleeve, a charger, a paperback or a notebook, a water bottle standing upright, a packed lunch, a folded waterproof and a jumper. All of that goes in without forcing the zip.

What it is not is a weekend bag. A change of clothes and a washbag will fit if you pack carefully and take nothing else, but you will be at the limit, and a bag pushed to its limit is a bag with a failing zip.

For a day at work, a day at college, a day out or a flight, it is the right size. For two nights away it is not.

The design

Two halves in opposition: fire on one side, ice on the other. Warm against cool is the oldest contrast in colour work, and it is the reason this print reads from a distance where a single-palette design would not.

The bag

29 x 16 x 42 cm, Oxford fabric and black nylon, foam-lined back, air cushion straps, strong zips. Water resistant rather than fully waterproof.
