Nearly all of this design is line. Pen strokes and stippled dots build the shading, and the broad cream ground is left open to carry the light. Illustrators call that reserved white: the untouched ground becomes the brightest value in the picture, so the drawing reads pale and airy rather than heavy.

Who is in the picture

A woman looks straight out from under a fanned mandala headdress, a small gem set at her brow. Below her a wolf faces forward with a turquoise stone on its forehead. Two more canine heads, drawn in warm terracotta, flank her at the shoulders, and a paler wolf watches from the upper right. Swirling cloud and paisley patterning fills the lower half.

The palette stays deliberately narrow: deep plum and aubergine for the linework, terracotta for the side figures, soft grey blue in the clouds, and a few points of turquoise. Against cream, that handful of colours carries further than a crowded palette would. 3D high definition printing holds the thinnest strokes, which is what a drawing like this depends on.
