Read the size twice

Sizes here are stated per panel and there are three of them. Small (20cmx30cmx3) means three panels of 20x30cm, not a single piece 20cm wide.

The total run is three panel widths plus the gaps between, so XXL at 60x80cm each is a genuinely wide installation. Lay them on the floor, measure the whole arrangement, and mark the wall outward from its centre.

The Wolf Clan

The Cherokee have seven clans, and Aniwaya, the Wolf Clan, is the largest of them. War chiefs traditionally came from it.

There was also a real prohibition: killing a wolf was avoided, and where it could not be, specific rites followed. That is a fundamentally different relationship from the European one, which spent centuries paying bounties for the same animal.

What you get on the wall is a wolf howling upward on the left panel, a wolf looking straight out of the centre panel with pale green eyes, and a man in profile on the right under a long war bonnet of white tipped feathers, all worked in soft airbrushed tones on a pale cream ground. The artwork itself is a modern design rather than a traditional Cherokee one, and it is worth knowing which is which. Our article on the wolf as brother covers the traditions properly.
