Ragged edges hide their own wear

A genuine practical advantage of this style, and nobody mentions it.

Every temporary tattoo fails at the edge first. On a design with a clean straight border, that failure is obvious immediately: a crisp line goes patchy, and the eye reads it as damage.

A splatter design has no clean border anywhere. The outline is already broken, scattered and irregular by intention, so when parts of the edge lift there is nothing to compare them against. A missing fleck reads as another fleck that was never there.

The result is a design that looks intact for noticeably longer than a hard-edged one of the same size, worn in the same place, by the same person.

Which makes it a good choice for a long weekend

If you need something to survive three or four days of ordinary life rather than one evening, an irregular outline is doing quiet work in your favour.
