Wolf Wood Pendant

The only warm material here

Everything else in our jewellery range is metal, and metal is cold when you put it on. Wood is not. It sits at skin temperature almost immediately and stays there, which is a small thing you notice every single day.

It is also light. A large wooden pendant weighs a fraction of the same shape in steel, so the size on offer here does not translate into weight around your neck.

Seven designs

Seven distinct designs rather than one design in seven finishes, so it is worth looking through them properly.

The one photographed is a round wooden disc with a spiral pattern carved right round the ring, and a wolf's head set under a domed glass centre, looking straight out in greys, black and white. It hangs on a braided cord rather than a chain.

The grain runs differently through each piece of wood, which means no two are quite identical even within a model.

Wood needs different care

This is the part that gets skipped, and it is the whole difference between a pendant that lasts and one that does not.

Keep it dry. Do not shower or swim in it, and do not leave it in a bathroom. Wood swells and dries repeatedly and that is what cracks a finish.

If it starts looking dry after a year, the smallest amount of a food-safe oil on a cloth brings it back.
