Data protection supplement

Our Privacy Policy is the main document and is kept up to date automatically as the law changes. It describes categories of recipients rather than naming them, so the specifics for this store are set out here.

Who actually receives your data

  • Shopify hosts the store and processes orders.
  • Shopify Payments (processed by Stripe) and PayPal take payment. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Manufacturing and fulfillment partners outside the United States receive your name, address and order contents in order to make and ship it.
  • Shipping carriers and customs authorities receive what they need to deliver and clear the parcel.
  • Klaviyo sends marketing email, if you subscribed.
  • Google Analytics (property G-M279H8GFPQ) measures site usage, with your consent.
  • Parcel Panel provides the order tracking page.
  • Judge.me collects and displays product reviews.

How long we keep it

  • Order and transaction records: 7 years, because tax and accounting law requires it.
  • Account information: while your account is open, then 2 years.
  • Support emails: 3 years from the last message.
  • Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe, then a minimal record so we do not email you again by accident.
  • Analytics data: up to 14 months.
  • Reviews: until you ask us to remove them.

Two things we do not do

We do not send marketing text messages. The SMS function of our email provider is switched off. If that ever changes we will say so before sending anything, and we will ask for your express written consent first.

We do not make automated decisions that produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you. Our platform provider runs limited automated fraud screening, such as briefly blocking an address after repeated failed payments, which does not have that kind of effect.
