Sand is a real wolf colour. Coats across the species run from near white through cream and tawny to charcoal and black, and the palest of them belong to wolves living in dry, open country. This strap takes the light end of that range.
The webbing is a warm biscuit tone with a fine horizontal rib running its length, and the keeper loop above the buckle is the same colour. Against a light strap the silver oval reads strongly, which is the point of the pairing: the wolf's head lifts out of the scrolling foliate engraving and holds the centre of the belt.
