A husky is a domestic dog bred to pull sledges over long distances, and the wolfish look comes from coat and colouring rather than close relationship. Behaviourally they could hardly be less alike: a husky is sociable with people to the point of uselessness as a guard dog, endlessly vocal, and famously willing to leave home for an afternoon of its own entertainment.
