Origami turns a flat sheet into volume using nothing but creases. The wolf head across the back of this jacket follows the same logic. Ears, muzzle and brow are assembled from flat planes that meet at hard edges, each facet shaded a little differently so the whole head reads as solid from several paces away.

Angles under the fur

The geometry suits the animal better than it first appears. A grey wolf skull is a set of long planes, a narrow braincase and a muzzle built for leverage, and the coat covering it is layered rather than smooth, coarse guard hairs above, fine undercoat below. Fold anything enough times and you get thickness, and thickness is warmth, because every fold holds a little air that cold cannot easily cross.

Organic cotton interior, polyester exterior, a hood and a reinforced exterior zip. Machine washable at 30 degrees.
