Two spanners lie crossed behind the wolf, open jaws at the top corners and ring ends at the bottom, outlined in white on black. Crossed tools have signalled the mechanic's trade for generations, and motorcycle badges took the motif on wholesale. The words Wolf and Club are stitched across the lower arms in a leaning, hand drawn script.

The head itself faces straight out. It is worked in grey with pale blue picked through the brow, ears and cheek fur, the eyes are red, the fangs yellow and bone white, and the open mouth a deep pink. Saturated colour like this reads clearly from a distance, which is what badge embroidery is for.

Packs are families

The club comparison gets made often and usually gets the biology wrong. A wild pack is not a gathering of rivals: it is a breeding pair and their offspring from the last two or three years, with the young dispersing as they mature. The alpha wolf idea came from captive animals rather than wild ones.
