Black and flat
An 8mm band in black, with twisted steel cable laid into recessed channels either side of the wolf panel so the strands sit level with the surface. Nothing stands proud, nothing catches, and at 9g it is light enough to forget within a day.
The wolf head itself is small, worked in bright steel on a black ground, and the cable either side of it does as much of the work. Bright metal against black carries across a room, so this one does get noticed.
What lone wolf actually means
Worth correcting the usual reading. In the wild a lone wolf is not an animal that rejected its pack out of strength. It is a young wolf dispersing to find territory and a mate of its own, and the state is temporary and dangerous by design.
It is a symbol of setting out rather than of standing apart, which is a considerably better thing to wear.
