The wolf's open jaws are the bottle opener, the gap between the upper and lower teeth taking the cap, and it is not a novelty detail. Stainless steel is hard enough to lever a crown cap without deforming, which is exactly why it is used for actual bottle openers.
This is the most expensive ring we carry, and the only one that does a second job.
Grip the bottle neck with the same hand, hook the lower jaw under the cap, and lever with the wrist rather than pulling with the finger. Pulling puts the whole force through one digit, which is how people bruise themselves on ring openers.
Done properly it takes no more effort than a normal opener.
