Two wolf heads sit in low relief on a round sunken face, both in profile, one behind the other on a roughened ground inside a beaded rim, held below that rim rather than modelled up off the ring, which is the whole point of a signet. Nothing protrudes, so it does not catch on pockets, sleeves or gloves, and it sits low enough that you stop noticing it by the second week.
That makes it the most practical ring in our range and the one we would suggest to anybody buying their first. Signets traditionally sit on the little finger, where they read as deliberate rather than showy.
Worth knowing what the phrase actually means. A lone wolf is not an animal that rejected its pack. It is a young wolf that has left home to find territory and a mate of its own, and the state is temporary by design. It is a symbol of setting out, not of standing apart.
Steel does not tarnish and needs nothing beyond an occasional wipe. It also cannot be resized after purchase, so check the ring size chart before ordering and take the larger size if you fall between two.
