Bed Set Snow Wolf Pattern

Watercolour suits a wolf like this one. The head is built from washes of turquoise, ink blue and violet, and the paint has been left to run, so long drips fall from the ruff and the ears towards the foot of the bed, thinning as they travel.

The white ground carries the colour the way paper carries a wash. Detail tightens where it counts, around the pale eyes and the black of the nose, then loosens into splatter and spray, with small flecks of maroon and gold thrown clear of the head.

Each pillow cover holds a smaller version of the same animal, standing full length in the same blues and dripping in the same direction, so all three pieces sit together as one scene.

Blue is an honest choice for a wolf in snow. A pale coat reflects whatever the sky is giving, and in low arctic light that is seldom white. There is more on coat, colour and range in our piece on the grey wolf.

100% polyester throughout. You receive one printed comforter cover and two pillow covers, cut to go over your own comforter. Machine wash at 30 degrees maximum, fast drying.
