Most wolf jewelry shows the animal at rest or howling. This one has it attacking, which is a considerably less common choice and gives the piece movement that a static head does not have.
The animal sits on a brushed metal plaque set into the dark leather, leaping to the right with its jaws open and its tail thrown up behind it. The panel around it is filled with Norse knotwork and corner spirals, and small rivets pin the plaque to the band at either side.
The band runs between 21.8cm and 23.8 cm depending on which notch you use. That two centimetre range covers seasonal changes in wrist size, which is a real thing and the reason fixed-length bracelets sometimes feel wrong in summer.
At 3 cm wide it is a substantial band without being a full cuff.
Silver keeps things cool and modern. Bronze reads considerably warmer and older, and it suits the Viking subject better if you want the piece to look weathered rather than new.
