Ink and starlight share this face. The crown, ears and outer ruff are deep black shot through with teal nebula and a fine spray of white specks, much like a long exposure of a clear winter sky. Below that the muzzle turns white, striped with black brush lines that run past the chin and drip toward the hem, and two pale blue eyes look straight out. Scattered ink spots on the white ground finish it off.
There is a wolf in the southern sky. Lupus was listed by Ptolemy in the second century and sits between Scorpius and Centaurus, its stars long read as an animal held by the neighbouring centaur. Southern latitudes get the best view of it around the middle of the year, when it climbs well clear of the horizon.
Ink and speckle stand in for that sky on the cloth. Flexible and resistant microfibre gives the artwork a smooth surface to sit on, and 3D high definition printing keeps the star specks distinct from the black lines running down the muzzle.
Find more designs in the wolf blanket range, or pair it with pieces from wolf decor. If the sky in the print appeals, read which stars make up the constellation of the wolf.
