A face built from angles

Triangles do much of the work in a real wolf's face. The ears rise as two sharp peaks, the muzzle tapers to a wedge, and the eyes sit at a slant that reads as watchful long before you are close enough to see detail. This print takes those natural angles and pushes them further, assembling the whole head from flat planes that meet at hard edges.

Why the geometry reads at distance

Faceted design borrows its logic from low polygon modelling, where a form is described using the fewest surfaces that still hold its identity. Strip a wolf back that far and what survives is the part the eye recognises first, the silhouette. That is also why the head, rather than the whole animal, dominates so much wolf design. A running body needs space and context around it. A head needs neither, and it looks back at you.

The grey wolf carries a broader skull and heavier jaw than the dogs it is usually compared with, which is what gives this shape its weight even when it is reduced to shards of colour.

Thick and cosy, with an organic cotton interior against the skin and a polyester exterior, closed by a reinforced zip. Machine wash at 30 degrees.
