Wolf Sticker Galaxy

Three wolves move across the wall in nebula colour. One is caught at full stretch mid leap, one stands with its head thrown back, and a third howls at the right hand edge. Each body is filled with the same deep field of blue, violet and magenta, scattered with white pinpricks, so the animals read as windows onto open space rather than as solid shapes.

A pack cut from open space

The palette belongs to deep sky photography: indigo bleeding into purple, teal along the flanks, hot pink where the colour gathers. A round galaxy moon sits in the upper corner, and two low mounds of ground with tufts of grass rest beneath the wolves, all washed in the same watercolour, so the whole group reads as one continuous stretch of sky.

The line that runs above them

A handwritten script arcs over the group: chasing the dream like a wolf chasing the moon. It is drawn as part of the artwork rather than added as a caption, sloping and looping in the same ink blue as the darkest fur.

Wolves have a place in the real sky too. The constellation Lupus has carried the wolf's name since antiquity, and there is more on the stars of the wolf constellation if the astronomy appeals.
