The Valknut, and what it meansThree interlocking triangles, found carved on Viking picture stones and burial goods. Its exact meaning is genuinely unknown, though its appearance at burial sites has led most scholars to associate it with Odin and with the passage of the...

Claws, not a faceNordic design tends toward the abstract, and this ring follows that: the wolf is present as claws, set into a round medallion on the broad flat top and ringed by a border of smaller ones, rather than as a portrait. Knotwork...

Folded, not carvedThe origami treatment reduces the wolf to flat intersecting planes, the way a folded paper animal works. No fur, no texture, no attempt at realism. The result reads as contemporary jewelry first and as a wolf second, which is precisely what some buyers...

Thirty six and a half gramsThis is the heaviest ring in the entire range, by a considerable margin. It is roughly eighteen times the weight of our lightest band, and there is no mistaking it in the hand.Be honest with yourself about whether you...

Pattern first, wolf secondViking metalwork rarely depicted animals plainly. It wove them into knotwork so the creature emerges only when you look properly, and this ring follows that convention. The wolf sits on a raised round face, drawn in the interlaced Norse manner and ringed...

Three symbols, stackedThis piece carries Thor's hammer, two wolves and the Valknut, which is a lot of Norse iconography for one pendant.Mjolnir is the most straightforward. Hammer amulets were worn across Scandinavia during the Viking age and hundreds have been recovered from graves, many...

The answer to a wide wallSingle canvases have a practical ceiling. Past a certain width they become expensive to ship, awkward to hang and prone to bowing.Multi-panel work solves that. Splitting the image across separate panels covers considerably more wall for the same money,...

Two faces and a moonTwo white wolves in profile, muzzle to muzzle, with a full moon held in the gap between them and a smaller wolf howling from a rock below. The pale fur and the blue eyes carry almost all the light in the...

Geometry over furA wolf photographed head on, lip lifted and teeth showing, with a rainbow edged triangle and a set of fine circles laid across the face. The photograph stays visible underneath, so the fur and the eyes read as real while the linework...

The animal is not the subjectThe wolf is in this picture, but the mountains are what the piece is about. It is looking out at snowy peaks under grey cloud rather than out at you. That makes it the easiest painting in our range to...

Two wolves, opposedA white wolf set against a black one, rendered without colour. It is the most graphically direct composition in our range, and the whole image is carried by the confrontation between the two halves. The reading is duality: two natures held in one...

Where the dreamcatcher actually comes fromThe dreamcatcher is Ojibwe, later adopted by other nations and now reproduced worldwide with very little reference to either. The traditional form is a woven web inside a hoop, hung above a sleeping place. Bad dreams are caught in the...

Four panels of forestA wolf's face and a stand of pine forest printed as one image, the trees and a mirrored lake showing through the fur in pale green and sepia. The head is centred and faces straight out, so the panel joins fall...
