Braided leather, steel headThe band is a flat woven braid rather than a plain strap, which gives it a visible texture and considerably more visual weight. The wolf head is sculpted in stainless steel and sits at the centre of a linked chain style...

Grey and brown fur, printed all over The fur on this costume is printed, and the print carries the shading as well as the colour. Darker grey runs down the outside of the arms and legs, paler grey gathers across the chest, and ribs...

Some Viking symbols are not VikingThis surprises people and it is worth knowing if you are going to wear one and be asked about it.Several of the designs sold everywhere as Viking symbols first appear in Icelandic magical manuscripts written in the seventeenth century...

Three shapes in watercolour blue The design works with three elements. A flat blue disc stands in for the moon high on the chest, a single wolf curves up from below in profile with its head thrown back, and a scatter of round droplets...

Hexagons, which is unusual hereEvery other painting in our range is rectangular. This one is not a single canvas at all: it is a cluster of hexagonal panels hung together as a honeycomb, with gaps between them, and it takes up about as much...

Victorian door furniture had a favourite trick: a beast cast in metal, its mane spread flat against the timber, a heavy ring held in its jaws for the caller to lift. These earrings bring that shape to the ear. Each is a wolf seen...

Every link in this band is built the way a drive chain is built. Two flat side plates, a barrel roller running between them, a capped pin holding the pair together. What changes is the cargo: sculpted wolf heads set into the run at...

Leyding and Dromi were the first two fetters the gods tried on Fenrir. He kicked Leyding apart at the first attempt. Dromi was made twice as strong, and he broke that as well, hard enough that the pieces flew. Only the third binding ever...

Gleipnir, the fetter that finally held Fenrir, was spun by dwarves from six impossible things: the sound of a cat stepping, the roots of a mountain, the beard of a woman, the sinews of a bear, the breath of a fish and the spittle...

Grandmother rides in the open jaws with her spectacles drawn on, her grey bun neat and her green and white dress spread over long pale legs. One soft tableau holds the whole tale. The wolf beneath her is dressed like a countryman in a...

Werewolf stories rarely bother with the whole beast. They fix on the face: the ears going back, the lip lifting, the teeth arriving. This pair keeps to that one moment and lets the white ground hold it. A head drawn in black and silver...

Three panels, exact sizesThis is a triptych sold by real measurement rather than by Small and Large, which removes the usual guesswork.Read the sizes carefully though: 20x40cm X 3 pieces means each panel is 20x40cm, and the three panels stack one above another rather...

The wolf as guardianEuropean tradition spent centuries casting the wolf as the thing you needed protecting from. Almost everywhere else it is the opposite: a guardian at the edge of the camp, a teacher, an animal that keeps watch and does not abandon its...

Standing into the weatherThe wolf is out in the open on a sunlit snow slope, standing square and facing straight down the frame rather than moving off, and that posture is the whole piece. It is also accurate. Arctic wolves live where temperatures reach sixty...

Tartan, claws and fur cuffs Three red claw marks are torn across the front of the black top, and the rest of the costume answers them. The red tartan skirt is cut into uneven points at the hem with loose threads left hanging, and...
