Alpha Wolf Hoodie

Two wolves share this print, one close and one far. The near wolf fills the chest, fur in warm tan and cream washed with rose and violet from a dusk sky, and its muzzle appears again as a reflection in the pale green water at the hem. Off to the upper left, a second smaller wolf stands on a rock rise, almost lost in the glow. Sleeves and hood settle back into black.

What the raised muzzle is really for

A wolf lifts its head to howl for acoustics, not for the moon. Pointing the muzzle up and outward clears the sound of the ground and the undergrowth, so the note travels through open air instead of being absorbed by soil, snow and trunks. Held long and steady, one call reaches a packmate well past the treeline.
