Wolves that have been apart greet each other by pressing muzzle to muzzle, licking around the mouth with ears folded back and tails swinging low. Field biologists call it the greeting ceremony, and a pack performs it every time it comes back together. The drawing on this towel keeps that moment still, two faces leaning in, the narrow gap between them carrying as much of the picture as the animals do.
A wolf pack is a family, and the pair at its centre often stays together for years, raising litter after litter with the help of last year's young. The tenderness in this design is not sentiment laid over the animal. It is the thing that holds the group together through hard winters and long hunts. There is more on that arrangement in the organisation of the wolf pack.
The print comes in a colour choice of Black or White. On the white, the whole thing is line work on an open ground: two heads turned in towards each other, a small heart in the gap below the muzzles, and a ring of feathers, swirls and bunting around them, with the ink running from violet at the top down to turquoise at the foot.
Microfibre, round with a tasselled edge, 420 g. High quality digital 3D printing keeps the fine line work crisp. It dries fast after a swim. Machine washable at 30 degrees. The rest of the range sits in the wolf beach towel collection.
