Black and White Wolf T-Shirt

Split down the centre, the wolf on this tee is black on one side and white on the other, with a red eye on the dark half and a blue eye on the pale one. The print runs edge to edge over the body and the sleeves, so the face fills the whole shirt rather than sitting in a panel on the chest.

What the contrast is doing

Monochrome artwork lives or dies on its edges. Here the fur is kept loose and soft in the shadowed half, then sharpened along the muzzle, the brow and the ear tips, which is why the head still reads as a head when the fabric moves. Faint snow drifts through the dark background and gives the black side something to sit against. The two eyes are the only colour anywhere on the garment, and they carry far more weight for being alone.
