Carved Obsidian Wolf Fang Necklace FREKI

The head of a wolf is carved into the thick end of this obsidian fang, ears swept back, muzzle forward, with the fur cut in sharp facets down the neck and shoulder. Below the head the stone is left smooth and mirror polished, curving out to a fine tapered point.

Volcanic glass, carved by hand

Obsidian forms when lava cools too fast for crystals to grow, which is why it behaves like glass and takes a deep shine. Every fang is carved by hand, so the depth of the fur lines and the exact set of the eye move a little from one piece to the next. The pendant is strung on round black beads knotted onto braided cord, with a single gold marked accent bead sitting against the carving.

Three finishes and a name

Glossy Black Obsidian is the deep mirrored stone shown in the photograph. Ice Black Obsidian and Frosted Black Obsidian are the other two finishes, and you choose between them before you order.
