Two pale wolves stand close together in a forest drained of every colour but blue, and the one behind has laid its head across the other's shoulders. Dark maple leaves fall past the edge of the canopy, caught mid drift.
That gesture is real. Wolves greet family this way after a separation, pressing muzzle and chin over the shoulders of another, and a whole pack will do it noisily and all at once. The artwork keeps the quiet version of it.
