Fitting several animals onto a bag this size is more difficult than it looks, and it is the reason most small bags carry a single head.

It works here because the treatment is deep toned and low contrast throughout. The wolves emerge from the darkness rather than being outlined against it, so the design reads as one shape at a distance and separates into individual animals close up.

A high contrast version of the same scene would simply look busy.

Dark wears well

A deep palette hides the scuffs and marks that a small bag collects quickly, since a crossbody is handled far more than a backpack: put down on tables, wedged under seats, pressed against whatever you are wearing.

After a year it still looks like itself.
