Soft Wolf Blanket Astral Head

Four moons cross the lower half of this design, waxing from a slim crescent to a full gold disc, while a blue wolf looks straight out from above them. Behind its head a white sphere is drawn in fine geometric lines, and everything else is nebula: indigo and teal cloud, a wash of orange light, and small stars scattered right to the hem.

Moons, night and the long walk

Wolves in Europe live largely by night, moving after dark because that is when the land empties of people. A pack can cover thirty kilometres or more between dusk and dawn, and the animals now returning to Germany, Poland and the Alps do most of their travelling under an open sky. The moon has no hand in why wolves howl, though it does hand them light to travel by.

The print runs edge to edge, so the colour carries whether the blanket is folded over the arm of a sofa or spread flat across a bed.
