Red and yellow hearts sit where the eyes would be, flat against a grey face with a stitched brow arched above each. Below them the muzzle runs long and narrow to a wide black nose, and a small pink tongue shows at the side. The drawing is closer to the smitten cartoon wolf of storybooks than to the animal in the field, and it commits to that idea completely.
Arms and legs are drawn out well past ordinary plush proportions, narrow along their length and finishing in broad rounded paws. Seated, the legs fold forward and the arms fall loose at the sides, long enough to drape over the arm of a chair or across a lap. The grey is even and low in sheen across the body, with a cream panel down the throat and belly and pink showing inside the tall ears.
It is filled with cotton. Sat upright with its limbs relaxed, it takes the shape of something that belongs on a sofa, a bed or a corner chair, and it holds a room the way a good character does. It sits happily among other wolf decoration.
