Eagles and wolves keep real company in the wild. When a pack brings down an elk in deep snow, bald and golden eagles arrive quickly and settle on a nearby snag, because a wolf can open a hide that no beak can. Ravens come for the same reason, and the birds have learned to listen for the howling.
The design gathers four heads around a dreamcatcher painted at the centre, its hoop strung with a fine web and hung with feathers dipped in blue. A grey wolf watches out from the upper left, a white headed eagle faces back at it from the right, a second eagle sits low on the left with a gold beak, and a second wolf lifts its muzzle in a howl at the lower right, all of it laid down in watercolour washes of cream, gold and drifting blue. There is more on how a pack works together in the organisation of the wolf pack.
An eagle's eye carries a fovea packed with cones, giving it resolving power several times sharper than our own. A wolf works the other way, with a reflective layer behind the retina that returns light through the cells a second time and turns dusk into workable light. One reads the ground from above, the other from within. High quality digital 3D printing keeps those eyes sharp, which is where this design gathers.
Microfibre, 420 g, round with a fringed edge and a choice of 100 cm or 150 cm across. Fast drying and machine washable at 30 degrees. The rest of the range sits in the wolf beach towel collection.
