Mexplore Wolf Cap

Gold thread traces a wolf standing on a rock, and the rock has been drawn as a mountain, its two peaks forming the shape of a letter M with EXPLORE stitched underneath. Animal, summit and word are one mark rather than three, which is a neat piece of drawing at the size of a palm.

The badge on the side

A second embroidery sits on the side panel: a round badge with REVOLUTION and EXPLORE curving around a gridded globe. Gold on black again, so the two marks clearly belong to each other. The pairing of wolf and horizon is well chosen, since young wolves leaving the pack to find ground of their own can travel hundreds of miles before they settle.

A solid crown

This design is cut from panelled cloth all the way round rather than half mesh, the seams topstitched and small vent eyelets set into the crown. The peak is curved and worked in several rows of stitching, and the underside shows warm gold, a colour that only appears when the cap comes off or gets tipped back. A black button finishes the top.
