Ink black shapes carry most of this wolf, cut to hard edges with almost no gradient anywhere. The ruff finishes in jagged spikes, the ears come to sharp points, and the muzzle opens on a set of pale fangs above a deep red mouth.
Colour is rationed after that. Tan and brown panels run through the brow and the cheeks, fine white whisker lines cross the muzzle, and the eyes narrow to a pair of pale yellow slits. The rest holds to black.
This is the drawing style a knitted surface likes best. Flat areas of solid colour keep their form however the fabric moves, and every edge here is a decision rather than a blend, so nothing rests on detail too fine for the loops to render. Set against the white of the sock, the head resolves at once from a metre away, which is the test any print at this size has to pass.
