A light wolf with its eye closed and a dark one with its teeth bared, curled into the taijitu so that each occupies the space the other leaves. It is one of the cleanest pieces of design in our range because the symbol was already doing the work before the wolves arrived.
The taijitu is often read in the West as good against evil, which is close to the opposite of what it describes. Neither half wins. Each contains a seed of the other, and the shape only exists because both are present.
That is a calmer idea than most wolf imagery carries, and it is why this piece works in rooms where the more aggressive pieces would not.
A living room, a bedroom, a space meant to settle rather than energise. The pair sit on a plain black ground that runs out to the edges of the panels, so the ring of wolves reads as a circle held inside a wide rectangle.
Centre the arrangement on the wall rather than aligning it to furniture, since the wolves sit at the middle of the run and pull the eye there.
